Action Alert: Urge Congress to Support Ryan White Funding in 2012 Funding Package
BACKGROUND:
- A bipartisan committee from the House and Senate is negotiating the final FY2012 federal appropriations, including funding for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
- The committee is meeting today and is expected to finish its work next week.
- All members of the House and Senate need to hear from their constituents now about the importance of supporting the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program in these final FY2012 funding negotiations. This is especially important if your Senator or Representative is on the committee (see list below).
ACTION NEEDED:
- Call or email your Senators and Representative now and urge them to support the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program in the final FY 2012 funding! See the chart in the links for CAEAR Coalition's FY2012 funding requests.
- To call, dial the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to the member's office. You can also visit House.gov and Senate.gov to find your member's website and send an email.
- Remember to personalize your message by telling frontline stories about the need for HIV funding in your community and state.
